CENTRAL PHOENIX CIRCUS SUMMER CAMP 2020

PHOENIX SUMMER CAMP scheduled for June has been cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic.

The situation is still too unstable to have an in-person camp this June. The school district will not have any activities on its campuses in June and so even if we wanted to do a camp – there would be no where to hold it. We waited until the last possible date to cancel because we were holding on to the hope that things would improve more quickly. We may be doing summer programs of a more limited nature as artists-in-residence for other camp programs – and we look forward to being back next summer in full health and circus strong!

PYCA remains available to provide other summer programs under modified conditions and our camp in Moab, Utah will also proceed if at all possible as planned in July. For information about our Moab, Utah camp click here

[Phoenix Youth Circus Arts will hold two one-week sessions of Circus Summer Day Camp in Central Phoenix in June 2020.  Kids can enroll in one or both sessions of camp.]

Here is what some parents said about our camp!

“My four children have been attending camp at Phoenix Youth Circus Arts for the past two years, and it is one of the highlights of their summer!…. The camp is conducted in a safe and supportive environment.  The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable about circus arts, passionate about teaching, and know how to encourage and challenge kids simultaneously.  I can’t say enough good things about PYCA and what they have done to grow my kids’ self-esteem, encourage their curiosity, and teach them how to be resilient.” E. Girard (PYCA summer camp 2018, 2019)

“My daughter had a blast last week! She told me that it was hands down the best camp she’s ever been to!”  N. Lawson (June 2018)

“My kids can’t get enough circus time with Mr. Jens. They attend weekly during the school year & beg to attend the summer camps. They make great strides in weekly circus throughout the year but with summer camps we see progress from each kid by leaps & bounds.” M Kratzer – (PYCA summer camps 2018, 2019; Desert Marigold School Circus club 2014-2020)
