CENTRAL PHOENIX CIRCUS SUMMER CAMP 2026

Here is what some parents said about our camp!

My kids have absolutely loved their time at circus summer camp! The coaches create a fun, supportive environment where campers feel encouraged to try new things and build confidence.  I couldn’t recommend it more to families looking for a unique, positive, and empowering summer experience.” — Laura Y (summer camp 2024-2025)

“My kids can’t get enough circus time with Mr. Jens. They attend weekly during the school year & beg to attend the summer camps. They make great strides in weekly circus throughout the year but with summer camps we see progress from each kid by leaps & bounds.” — M Kratzer – (PYCA summer camps 2018-2019; Desert Marigold School Circus club 2014-2024)

Our camp is being offered for the 9th summer in Central Phoenix! We will once again be at Capitol Elementary School. We are now offering 4 one-week sessions, all in the month of June. The camp has sold-out in the past so don’t wait to secure a spot for your kids. Registration will be opening in February.

CAMP DETAILS

  • Session 1: June 1-5
  • Session 2: June 8-12
  • Session 3: June 15-18 (the host school is closed for the Juneteenth holiday on Friday, June 19)
  • Session 4: June 22-26

Camp Hours: 9AM – 3PM (drop off begins at 8:30AM)

Location: The Gymnasium at Capitol Elementary School 330 N 16th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The gym is on the corner of 17th Ave and Polk St. You will enter the parking lot on 16th Ave for drop-off and pick-up.

Who can sign up? Kids ages 7 – 16

What will the kids do? Campers will learn all the circus basics – juggling of different forms, acrobatics,  balancing, aerial skills (such as silks, lyra, Spanish Web, trapeze) and clowning. Each camper gets to try all the different skills and then towards the end of the week they choose two skills to specialize in. The last day of camp finishes with a show for family and friends!

Cost: Circus camp is $375 for a one-week session (less for the third week, which is only 4 days). A parent who is available to provide administrative assistance during camp staff hours (8AM – 4PM) is needed for each session and can be given credit for their child’s camp costs. There may be some availability of discounts for families that need assistance (depending on the success of our scholarship fund drive). Contact Jens (jens@phxyouthcircus.org) for more information on discounts or administrative opportunities.

Payment:  Registration and Payment for camp can be done via credit or debit card by clicking here. Payments go to “Technical Assistance Partnership of Arizona” (TAPAZ is PYCA’s fiscal sponsor).  The payment platform is administered by FundRazr, and is designed primarily as a fundraising site for non-profits. Please note: emails that confirm your payment will come from “TAPAZ”. If necessary, payments can also be made by personal check – make arrangements via the contact address on this website.

Cancellation policy : Full payment is due at camp registration. Cancellation made 30 days or more in advance of camp start date will be refunded 100% – but in exchange for the work a cancellation creates, we ask that you consider donating 20% of your refunded amount to PYCA’s scholarship fund. If cancellation is 29 days or less in advance of camp start date, payment will not be refunded. Credit can be given for future camps and handled on a case-by-case basis.
